An ode to slow afternoons and open air.
Carlton Gardens held us in soft light, a Sicilian lunch beneath trees, framed by the quiet grandeur of the Royal Exhibition Building and the steady presence of the Hochgurtel Fountain.
Chef Danny Natoli’s menu moved with the moment: anchovy focaccia, fresh seafood, handmade pasta, each course grounded in tradition, lifted by season.
We chose to be outside. To let the city slow around us. To let the table breathe.
